Anthony: Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Anthony has recently graduated from the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning program at Camosun College. He seeks to apply his skills within the trade as well as learn from his fellow coworkers and peers. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys rock climbing, back-country skiing and mountain biking.
Brian: With over 30 years of experience working at Fosters and 40 years of total industry experience, Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to our team. Previous to HVAC/Refrigeration, Brian was a printing press mechanic. Brian loves to camp and has been competing in off-road racing since 1970.
Clayton: Clayton recently moved from Calgary and joined our team. Clayton is a journeyman and has been in the industry for 10 years. Clayton likes to snowboard, mountain bike and play golf.
Chris: One of our most experienced technicians, Chris aspired to work in the refrigeration trade because of the diverse and challenging nature of the work. Chris has been with Foster Heating & Cooling since 2004 and embraces new challenges. Chris enjoys hiking, camping and biking on our beautiful island.
Dain: Dain has recently stepped up into the role of Service Manager. He has been in the industry for over 12 years and has been with Fosters since 2012. Dain was a cook prior to becoming a refrigeration technician and enjoys woodwork and spending time with his growing family.
Deepak: After doing a lot of research and looking into several other trades, Deepak decided over 5 years ago that refrigeration suited him best. Deepak’s love of problem solving and working with his hands, combined with his friendly disposition and attention to detail make his love of the trade apparent. Deepak enjoys playing sports, hiking, camping and going to the gym. Deepak has lived in Victoria for over 4 years and enjoys every minute of it.
Dylan L.: One of our most recently hired apprentices, Dylan was born and raised on Vancouver Island and completed his pre-employment program to enter the trade at Vancouver Island University in 2017. Dylan is a hard-working team player who loves to learn and is keen to always do his best work. Dylan likes the outdoors and is recently engaged. Congratulations!
Dylan S.: Dylan wanted to do something physical with a problem-solving aspect so he made the transition from retail into the refrigeration trade over 5 years ago. Dylan has lived in the area for over 5 years and enjoys motorcycles and playing/listening to music.
Josh: Josh has been in the trade for 4 years and has been with Fosters since his pre-employment program and doing ride-alongs. Josh had heard nothing but good things about working in the industry and wanted to learn a wide variety of skills. He has a passion for the specialized work and the seemingly endless changes in technology. For fun, Josh enjoys exercising, martial arts, dirt biking and snowboarding.
Mike: Mike was born and raised in Victoria and worked as a Red Seal chef for 18 years. Mike transitioned to the trade when he was 35 years old and completed his schooling and journeyman hours in 2017. Mike loves cooking and eating good food with his wife, son and dog. Mike also enjoys camping, hiking and enjoying the natural beauty of the Island.
Reed: An Islander through and through, Reed was born and raised in Victoria and loves to be outdoors. Reed has been working on his apprenticeship since 2016 and is a hard-working, thoughtful technician who isn’t afraid to tackle complicated problems.
Thomas: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning appealed to Tom because everyday is different and he is constantly learning. Tom’s background is in marine electrical where he worked on multi-million dollar yachts. In his spare time, Tom teaches army cadets and enjoys backwoods camping and working on his car.
