Dwayne Melanson (Principal): Dwayne is a licensed professional engineer with over 25 years of direct experience in the HVAC industry. Dwayne is capable of performing design build projects that can incorporate commercial HVAC, process cooling and DDC controls (building automation). Dwayne has been with Foster Heating & Cooling since 1996 and became partner in 2003. Born in Nova Scotia, Dwayne has lived in Victoria since 1969.
James Crumb (Principal): Jim was born in Windsor and moved to Calgary in 1980. Jim has over 10 years experience with Carrier A/C across Canada and in the Middle East. Jim joined Foster Heating & Cooling in 1992 as a partner and has been involved in all facets of the business over the years. Jim enjoys fishing on his boat with his wife and two sons and is involved in the Canucks Autism Network through fundraising and events.
Paul Mazzulli, A.Sc.T (Commercial Project Manager): Paul has worked both on the contracting side and for consulting engineers, specializing in building HVAC systems for most of his 24 year professional career. Paul presently does project management and has been with Foster Heating & Cooling since 2015. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Paul is married for 20 years, has 2 sons and a vested interest in the Autism Networks of BC. Paul graduated from Camosun College in 1994.
Dain Fraser (Service Manager): Dain stepped up into the role of Service Manager in April 2019. He has been in the industry for over 15 years and has been with Fosters since 2012. Dain enjoys wood-turning, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Stephen Syme (Residential Technical Sales): Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge which spans several industries and has been directly involved with HVAC since 2002. Originally from Southern Alberta, Stephen has been in Victoria and with Foster Heating & Cooling since 2015. Stephen has 3 children ranging in age from 16 to 28.
Tony Lee (Accounting & Information Systems Manager): Born and raised in Edmonton, Tony moved to Victoria with his wife in 2006. His skill with numbers, Tony not only manages our money but also implemented and maintains our accounting software. Tony’s real value comes from his ability to integrate several systems and various department needs. Tony is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, loves Star Trek and enjoys espresso.
Emma Hewitt (Service Administrator): Emma was born and raised in Essex, England. She moved to Victoria in 2018 and joined Foster’s team shortly thereafter. With 10 years of administrative experience, ranging from local government to financial institutions, Emma helps with the day to day operation of the Service Department. She also works closely with the Service Manager and Dispatcher. Emma enjoys hiking, running and adventuring.
Dakotah Boudreau (Dispatcher/Administrative Assistant): Dakotah comes to Fosters with an extensive background in the legal industry, as well as, administration and customer service. Dakotah takes pride in her strong organization skills and attention to detail. Her bubbly personality, great sense of humour and strong customer service skills make her a delight to work with. Dakotah’s passion of true crime programs and dogs is unmatched. She is a wonderful person to have working for Fosters.
