Message to our customers – Fosters Covid-19 response

Fosters have introduced measures to keep our employees safe, serve our customers with the highest standards and do our part to slow community spread of the virus.

Social Distancing

Our technicians are maintaining 6’ of separation from others while performing tasks on job sites. If technicians are having trouble maintaining this distance and are unable to create the space, consider rescheduling the work to take place after hours when safe distances can be observed.

We are allowing our technicians to complete work orders without a customer signature, in order to avoid customer touching the in-field tablets. Further to this we will be avoiding direct contact/touching with people and will be not be allowing visitors into the office.

As the situation changes each day, we’ve also implemented guidelines for future escalation plans. This includes sharing best practices on avoiding large groups, and comprehensive options for office staff to work remotely.

Travel

Fosters will be prioritizing emergency calls, and postponing non-emergency work as much as possible.

We have also implemented a 14-day self-isolation policy for anyone who has returned from an affected country or has come in close personal contact with someone who has returned from an affected country.

Hygiene

All Fosters workers have access to hand sanitizer, gloves and anti-bacterial wipes, and have been given guidance to help be extra vigilant and adopt best practice hygiene measures. Staff feeling unwell are urged to seek medical advice and self-isolate.

As government guidance evolves, Fosters will follow protocol to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.

My Wife and I wanted to inform you that the level of customer service that we received from yourself and technicians installing our new heat pump was excellent.  Mr. Dale and his assistant were both friendly and informative in keeping us up to date on the progress of the installation as it progressed over the two days, which was reassuring as the days of such good customer service seem to be a thing of the past for most companies!  On the second day when Mr. Dale arrived to complete the installation, he arrived at 11:30am and missed having lunch that day in order to have our system up and running as soon as possible, completing the setup at 4pm, which was something that did not escape our attention!

Being an ex broadcaster I know the importance of communication. Everyone I talked to made Foster Heating & Cooling the best there is. The work was fast, and efficient. Very few companies have made me feel good about taking money from my wallet.. Fosters is a rare exception. They are, simply, the best.

We thought after decades on the prairies, we were veterans of cold winters. Recent ‘cold snaps’ here taught us otherwise. Analysis suggested the heat pump in our new home was undersized for the space. We chose Foster Heating to install a Mitsubishi replacement. We made the right choice! Barry is wonderful. Barry demonstrated caring & skill when he came to my house to find a cat I thought was there. He was caring, skilled, & had some great ideas to lure the cat out. Barry dismantled the furnace pipes & restored them very quickly. He also got along & cooperated with the firefighters who were present.

Fosters has been awesome. They have helped me several times with my heat pump. they did not sell it to me, but the service I have received from them on this unit would have you believe otherwise. I will continue to use them for my repairs and maintenance needs.

I’ve used Foster’s at a few different properties in the past, this was the first time they attended my new condo. The tech Dylan was wonderful in his explanation of how the system works and what my maintenance responsibilities were and what the strata’s were. Clean, articulate and on time he was a pleasure to have in our home.

I had an unknown issue with my heat pump and that can always be a little scary. I do not like being at the mercy of a company that could say anything and I would have to go along with them. Chris was not like that. He explained every step of the way giving me options as he went. As the issue became clear so did the cost. He explained what he had to do, and what it would cost. He explained the options in detail, sticking to the facts and not pressuring me one way or another. Once a plan was made he went ahead with the work and the resulting price was lower then estimated. In addition he still did a complete look over my system and noted some other issues that will need to be looked at in the future. This is the third time I have dealt with Foster’s and this is the third time that I have received gold star level support. Estimates are on the nose and they take the time to explain what is wrong, how to mitigate it and tips for making the system run smoother. I am very happy with the service I get from Fosters and highly recommend them.
